Southern Oven Fried Chicken

This is one of our family’s all time favorites! My husband requests it all the time. This good old fashioned southern oven fried chicken is fast and easy to put together and with very little mess! It’s always nice and crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The best part about this recipe is that there is NO deep frying required.

I like to serve this meal with garlic mashed potatoes and some kind of veggie with it. Fresh roasted garden veggies, corn, green beans, or a spring salad always go great with this meal.

Instructions
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 400 F°. Place butter on a large baking sheet and place in the oven to melt. Once butter is melted remove from oven. 2. Add flour, seasoning salt, salt , pepper and paprika in a large ziploc bag. Add 3 pieces of chicken at a time and shake to coat. 3. Place coated chicken strips on the baking sheet, leaving a space between each strip. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, flip chicken with a pair of tongs, then bake another 10 to 12 minutes or until inside is cooked through. Serve immediately and enjoy! ♥ TIP! For extra crispy chicken turn on the broiler for the last few minuets. *Make sure the chicken has plenty of space between pieces so it gets crispy all over.
